FROM THE PATROL DESK

Our own resident patrols continue to operate alongside Aqua. Thanks to all those dedicated patrollers that provide extra visibility at night and over weekends. All we ask is 2/3 hours, once a month.

You patrol on the same date every month and there are two resident patrol cars allocated to each shift. We work very closely with the SAPS, and help is close at hand. We have some vacancies on the roster, so please consider helping out. Many thanks to all those that do patrol.

Contact Brian Williamson Tel: 082-415-4085 or email for further information. patrols@ckn.org.za

HELP NEEDED PLEASE

We still have some patrols that need to be filled.

We ask that anyone interested contact Brian Williamson Tel: 082-415-4085

MEMBERS

Welcome to the new patrol members who have joined us.

Patrol members, please keep up the visibility and remember the roster is put out via e-mail, placed on the web-site and also placed in the patrol box. If you can't do your patrol, please contact Brian Williamson to get someone to stand in for you, or swap with your neighbour. Thanks to those members who assist with roadblocks

Many of the patrol members are not seen because folks are locked away in their houses after dark, and many patrols take place at odd hours at night and in the early morning.

The dedication of the patrol members is to be commended.

Do you have patrol equipment? If so please return ASAP.

REMEMBER

A patrol member or the Aqua car will meet you at your home should you be coming home late. This is particularly pertinent if you are a woman.

Contact the patrols through Brian Williamson on 082-415-4085 or Aqua on 083 646 9558. A patrol member will then meet you at your door and see you safely inside your property.

It has been brought to the notice of the committee that residents and/or visitors to the area are STILL SPEEDING through our suburb.

CHILDREN play and ride their bicycles in our streets – people walk their dogs – and it would be a tragedy if a child living in this area were to be knocked over and killed as a result of a speeding motorist.

40km an hour is a safe speed – please take care !
